JOSE MIGUEL ROJAS (1959)

The artwork of José Miguel Rojas -pictorial or graphic- is ultra sensible to the power, to the icon of the devout thing, to the unknown slant of the death, of a grayish but at the same time state of mind or mystical death; evocation without complacency or a miracle done not tolerate.

Post grade in Plastic Arts, University of Costa Rica. In 1992 he obtains a scholarship of the Service of German Exchange (DAAD). Among his exhibits, some at international level are listed as follows: Deutsches Theater, Grottingen Germany; Kulur Forum of Willich Germany; Gallery Laden 33 Dusseldorf, Germany; International Biennial of Havana, Cuba; "Kunst aus Costa Rica" itinerary by Germany; Miami-Dade College, Florida, USA;. Former Convent of Santo Domingo, Guatemala;. San Diego of Art, California, USA and many other in Costa Rica.

He has earned the important Costa Rican prizes Aquileo J. Echeverria of painting and the Prize Ancora of the Culture in the field of Plastic Arts.
