JORGE GALLARDO (1924-2002)

One of the most important figurative artists of Costa Rica, compromised with the representation of themes of the people. Just to mention some of his many important achievements, his painting La Eucarístia (The Eucharist) is permanently exhibited at The Vatican since 1973, received the Papal Medal, and the Apostolic Blessing, three times from Pope Paul VI.
