HAROLD FONSECA (1920-2000)

Harold Fonseca studied in the School of Fine Arts of the University of Costa Rica. Moved to the United States where enters to the Art Institute of Chicago. He studies then in the Corcoran Gallery School of Art Washington D.C. United States. He worked as professor in the School of Fine Arts of the University of Costa Rica. Was also member of "El Grupo Ocho" of painting and sculpture of Costa Rica.

Awarded with the Honorary Mention at the VII National Contest of Culture, El Salvador; Certify of Award, Art League, Virginia, USA and the First Prize Spanish- American Heritage Art Exhibit, Washington D.C. United States. His artwork is represented in the Latin-American Art Collection of the OAS, and in the Art of Central America And Panama Collection of the Esso Standard Oil Company.
